Round of 32: Tubize-Braine 0-4 RSC Anderlecht (31/10/2024)
The Mauves started their cup run away at Tubize-Braine, the side of the First National Division. Two Danes led the way for RSCA. Anders Dreyer opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the first half. But the spotlight was on our Danish striker. Kasper Dolberg netted a second-half hat-trick to seal the 0-4 final score at Stade Leburton.
Round of 16: RSC Anderlecht 4-1 KVC Westerlo (5/12/2024)
Next up: Westerlo at the Lotto Park. Sporting made it hard on themselves early, with Thomas Van den Keybus scoring for the visitors after only 8 minutes. But RSCA quickly replied through Zanka. Around the half-hour mark, Dolberg put his team ahead with a low, powerful shot, and Moussa Ndiaye made it 3-1 just before halftime. In the second half, Dolberg added his second of the evening. Another four-goal performance in the cup.
Quarter-final: Beerschot 0-1 RSC Anderlecht (9/1/2025)
Sporting traveled to ‘t Kiel for the quarter-finals and struck early. Jan-Carlo Simić scored just two minutes in, finishing off a free kick from Ludwig Augustinsson. That early goal was enough, as the 0-1 result secured the Mauves a place in the semi-finals.
Semi-final first leg: RSC Anderlecht 1-0 R. Antwerp FC (16/1/2025)
Two legendary Belgian clubs met in the semis. The first leg at the Park was decided by a local Brussels lad. Tristan Degreef lit up the pitch with energy and scored the only goal just after the half-hour mark. RSCA hit the woodwork three times but carried a deserved lead into the return leg.
Semi-final second leg: R. Antwerp FC 2-2 RSC Anderlecht (6/2/2025)
Everything was still to play for at the Bosuil. In a classic cup clash, Denis Odoi opened the scoring for Antwerp, but Yari Verschaeren equalized quickly. Then Odoi was sent off with a second yellow, giving RSCA a man advantage. Just after halftime, Adryelson saw his headed goal ruled out for offside. RSCA failed to kill off the game and nearly paid the price—Gyrano Kerk put Antwerp ahead in the 86th minute. But Leander Dendoncker rescued Sporting with a last-minute equalizer.
On Sunday, May 4, RSCA will play in the Belgian Cup final for the 15th time. At the King Baudouin Stadium, Sporting can lift the trophy for a record 10th time. Kick-off at 18:30.
