Finance Controller

RSCA NEERPEDE

RSCA is looking for a driven Finance Controller or Financial Talent who wants to help build a financially sound and future-oriented club. In this role, you combine operational finance with controlling and work closely with various departments within the organization.

Your responsibilities as Finance Controller:

  • Payroll controlling
You are responsible for the financial follow-up and analysis of salary and personnel costs within the club (players, sporting staff, and employees). You monitor budgets, analyze variances, and support forecasting and reporting towards finance and management. You work closely with HR and the payroll provider.
  • Inventory controlling
You closely monitor inventories of sports equipment and merchandising. You ensure correct valuation, analyze discrepancies, and contribute to an efficient inventory management strategy in collaboration with the sporting and commercial departments.
  • Capex controlling
You manage and control investments such as infrastructure, training facilities, and sports-related assets. You monitor budgets, follow up on approvals, control capitalization and depreciation, and provide clear reporting on investment projects.
  • Payments out
You ensure the correct, timely, and controlled processing of outgoing payments. You monitor cash flow, validate payments in line with internal procedures and contractual agreements, and work together with accounting and procurement to guarantee a transparent payment process.
  • Procurement
You coordinate and structure the purchasing process within RSCA. You negotiate with suppliers, follow up on contracts and agreements (e.g. training camps, operational and sporting purchases), identify cost optimization opportunities, and work closely with sporting, commercial, and operational departments to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Preparation of the annual accounts
You contribute to the preparation and closing of the (statutory and management) annual accounts of RSCA and its affiliated entities.
  • Preparation of VAT returns and corporate income tax
You prepare periodic VAT returns and ensure the correct application of VAT rules across the club’s various activities. In addition, you support the preparation and follow-up of corporate income tax, in cooperation with external advisors, and ensure fiscal compliance and deadlines are met.

Who we are looking for:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field.
  • You have initial experience in controlling, accounting, or procurement.
  • You work in a structured and accurate manner and take ownership of your responsibilities.
  • You are communicative and feel comfortable interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You think critically and have an eye for efficiency and optimization.

Naturally, we are looking for strong finance and analytical skills, but above all for enthusiasm, drive, and a hands-on mindset. You thrive in a dynamic environment and are eager to make a real impact through efficient and proactive work.

What we offer:

  • A position within a dynamic and strong team, in a unique working environment at the heart of Belgium’s largest and most prestigious football club.
