Account Payable Accountant

Your responsibilities 

As an AP Accountant, you are responsible for several financial processes within the team:  

  • End-to-end processing of supplier transactions. 
    • You are responsible for booking and monitoring supplier invoices within the organization.
    • You verify the accuracy and completeness of invoices, monitor approval workflows, and ensure correct processing in the accounting system.
    • You maintain contact with suppliers and internal stakeholders and proactively follow up on outstanding items.
    • In case of uncertainties, you consult with your direct colleagues and various departments to determine the appropriate actions.
  • Accounts payable analysis
    You perform monthly reconciliations of general ledger, bank, and interim accounts. You analyze discrepancies, detect irregularities, and ensure timely corrections to guarantee the reliability of financial data.
  • Monthly closing
    You support the monthly and yearly closing processes by preparing journal entries, collecting documentation, and performing checks. You contribute to accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Master data management
    You manage and maintain master data such as supplier information and accounting parameters. You ensure the quality, consistency, and accuracy of data within the systems.

Your profile:

We are looking for a candidate who matches the following profile:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and preferably already have several years of experience in a similar role
  • You work in a structured and accurate manner and take ownership of your files
  • You have strong analytical and financial skills
  • You are a strong communicator and feel comfortable interacting with internal and external stakeholders
  • You are flexible and able to respond to ad hoc situations
  • You are a team player with an open mindset
