Hendrik Van Crombrugge is leaving RSCA after 4 seasons

Thanks for everything, captain

Hendrik Van Crombrugge is leaving RSC Anderlecht after 4 seasons. The 30-year-old goalkeeper has completed his move to KRC Genk, signing a contract for 3 seasons at the Cegeka Arena.

Hendrik made the switch from KAS Eupen to RSC Anderlecht in 2019. He immediately proved himself as a reliable goalkeeper and a leader in the dressing room. At the start of the 2020-2021 season, he was handed the captain's armband, which he kept wearing during his time at Anderlecht.

'HVC' eventually played 120 games in goal for RSCA. RSC Anderlecht will always remain grateful to him for his commitment and leadership on and off the pitch.

CEO Sports Jesper Fredberg:

“We are grateful for all that Hendrik has done for the club in the past years. We are aware that the last 6 months have been challenging for Hendrik, so we’re happy that we were able to find a solution that works for all parties involved. We wish Hendrik all the best for the future.”

Hendrik Van Crombrugge:

"Leaving Anderlecht after four years is still more difficult than I thought. I hope people will remember me - not so much because of the performances on the pitch, but everything off the pitch as well. I want to thank the club and the fans for embracing an unknown goalkeeper from Eupen so quickly and for their continuous support, even in the difficult moments."

See you soon, Hendrik.
