07/01 – Friendly against FC St. Gallen 1879
An important day during the winter training camp of the Mauves, which is nearing its conclusion. At 14:30, the team of Besnik Hasi will play a friendly match against Swiss side FC St. Gallen 1879, who are also holding their winter camp in Jerez de la Frontera.
The team from St. Gallen is the oldest still-existing football club in Switzerland and currently sits second in the domestic league. Under the guidance of head coach Enrico Maaßen, FCSG have won twelve of their nineteen matches this season. German midfielder Carlo Boukhalfa and Swiss forward Alessandro Vogt have each already scored eight goals.
A solid test, therefore, for Sporting, who will return from their training camp in Spain tomorrow evening. The match will be broadcast live on Mauve TV.
06/01 - Day 4 of the training camp in Jerez de la Frontera
With the sun shining, a double training session was on the programme. Ludwig Augustinsson and Marco Kana completed the entire morning training session and seem to be on track to make it to the first match of the new year, on 15 January against KAA Gent in the quarter-finals of the Croky Cup. The Belgian media also attended the training sessions and spoke with coach Besnik Hasi, Thorgan Hazard and Adriano Bertaccini, among others. On Wednesday, there will be a friendly match against Swiss club FC St. Gallen 1879. Kick-off is at 2:30 p.m., and the match can be viewed in its entirety on Mauve TV.
05/01 - Team building
As with every training camp, the Sportingboys took part in a team-building session on Monday afternoon. They had to complete an entire bike ride that was dotted with several challenges. The Anderlecht players strengthened their bonds in a warm atmosphere, which you can see in the video below.
05/01 - A very busy day
Monday morning’s training session finally took place for the first time under good weather conditions - it was the first day without rain.
On the pitch, the day’s session was mainly tactical. The players prepared for Wednesday’s friendly match on 7 January (live on Mauve TV) with a ten-a-side format. On the adjacent pitch, Sporting was joined by PSG's Women's team who are also preparing for their second half of the season in Spain.
Ilay Camara and Zoumana Keita, for their part, continued their rehabilitation work in the gym. In the afternoon, a very physical team-building session was on the players’ schedule. A moment that was greatly appreciated by the Mauves, who showed a strong competitive spirit and… also cheated quite a lot.
