Defeat against Westerlo

Sporting loses 2-1 and returns home pointless after the away game against KVC Westerlo.

Westerlo started the game enthousiastically, and immediately put pression on the Mauve defence. After 5 minutes, they opened the score with a goal by Igor Vetokele. The first real chance for Sporting came after half an hour with a shot by Mario Stroeykens.

The young Julien Duranville was brought in at half-time to turn the tide, but again Westerlo put the pression on RSCA. The yellow & blue fans almost saw their team take a 2-0 lead, but Nene Dorgeles' attempt hit the crossbar. 15 minutes before the end of the game, Sebastiano Esposito who had entered the pitch not long before, showed what he's capable of with an individual action in front of the goal making it 1-1. But, despite the equaliser, it was still Westerlo which secured the three points. Halil Akbunar found a gap between Hendrik Van Crombrugge's legs, making the final score 2-1.
