In last weekend’s game against Union, Jan Vertonghen was subbed off midway through the first half with a groin problem. Our captain will be sidelined for the upcoming games against KRC Genk and Club Brugge. Together with Jan, our medical staff will put in every effort to get him ready for the final game against Antwerp on May 26th. Jan's involvement in the Euros with the Belgan National Team is not at risk.
Majeed Ashimeru also had to leave the pitch due to injury. The Ghanaian midfielder will be sidelined with a calf problem. The medical staff will evaluate in the coming weeks whether Majeed can still be return to action during these playoffs.
