Amir Murillo

RSC Anderlecht and Olympique de Marseille have reached an agreement on the permanent transfer of Michael Amir Murillo. The Panamanian full-back is leaving RSCA after 3.5 years, signing a 3-season contract with the French club.

Amir made the switch from American side New York Red Bulls in January 2020. The Panamanian almost immediately secured his spot in the starting lineup at right back. He played as many as 134 games in purple and white, scoring 14 goals and 17 assists. Amir is also an experienced international with 65 games played for Panama.

CEO Sports Jesper Fredberg:

“We want to thank Amir for his contribution in the past seasons. For all parties, this seemed like the right time for a move. We're happy that we've managed to find a solution that works for everyone. We wish Amir the best of luck at Marseille.”

Amir Murillo:

"I am very grateful to the club and the fans for the support they have given me over the past few years. Thank you for being there in the good and in the bad times. I wish everyone at RSC Anderlecht all the best for the future."
