On Sunday 8 May, we celebrate Mother's Day. Telenet and RSC Anderlecht will honour a special kind of mother: the soccer-mother.
Marco and Crésus Kana, Zeno and Milan Debast, Charlotte Tison, but also youth players Dalil and Nayah took their mum to Neerpede for the occasion and explained why their mum deserves all the praise in the world.
"All footballers will recognise it", says Charlotte Tison, the brand new champion of the RSCA Women. "Soccer mums sacrifice so much. They take us to training, make us food, travel all over the country to cheer us on and they support us in our dreams."
The mother of Crésus and Marco Kana also recognises these sacrifices: "Everything is about our sons. I am so incredibly proud of them, no matter what." Nelleke, football mum of two football sons, is also proud. "But I am really just as proud of both my sons. I support them just as much during Zeno's matches as I do during Milan's."
"My mum is everything to me", says Nayah. "My dream is to become a professional footballer, and she is my biggest fan. Sunday it's up to me to thank her for everything she does."
In the following video, get to know the football mums of Nayah, Dalil, Marco & Crésus, Zeno & Milan and Charlotte.
