The mauve & white qualify for the 1/8th-finals of the Belgian Cup after their 1-3 victory against Cercle Brugge. The opening goal wasn't scored until the second half when Baseggio managed to score with a splendid distance shot. However, Sporting didn't enjoy it's lead for long, because Mohammed Berthé scored the equalizer a bit later. In the end, Anderlecht was the luckiest team : Crasson headed the 1-2 in goal and just like they did in Denmark Anderlecht made the difference at the very end when Walter Baseggio scored again on an assist by Zane.
