After a thriller on STVV's pitch, Sporting Anderlecht was eliminated from the Belgian Cup. Sporting Anderlecht had won the first match thanks to a goal scored by Ivica Mornar. Sint-Truiden managed to score an early goal through Nicky Hayen, but after 90 minutes and 2 periods of extra-time, the score remained unchanged. In the end, STVV qualified for the semi-finals through a penalty shoot-out (4-3). De Boeck and Seol missed their penalty for Anderlecht.
