Milestones in the club's history

1920 : Publication of the first "Anderlecht Sports", Sporting Club Anderlecht official club magazine

1923 : Founding of the Federation of supportersclubs, of which the first chairman is Edouard Van den Nest.

1936 : Signing of the first foreign head coach in club history : the Englishman Ernest Smith.

1944 : Transformation of the cooperative society "Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht" in a non-profit society

1953 : Sporting gets a historic 2-3 victory against the "Gunners" from Arsenal. The reinging champions at that moment.

1954 : Official inauguration of the electric lights in the Emile Versé Stadium with an international friendly against Racing Club Buenos Aires.

1955 : Anderlecht into Europe for the first time. Opponent is Hongarian outfit Voros Lobogo.

1957 : Jef Jurion is the first Anderlecht-player to be awarded the "Golden Boot".

1963 : Anderlecht has historical crowd numbers. At the Heizel stadium, the purple & white welcome 64,073 paying spectators on the occasion of the match against FC Dundee.

1965 : RSCA wins it's eleventh championship title and equals Union Sint-Gillis' record.

1975 : Paul Van Himst is awarded the "Golden Boot" for the fourth time.

1983 : First phase of the renovation of the Emile Versé Stadium, which is renamed the "Constant Vanden Stock"-stadium.

1994 : RSCA wins the double for the third time : championship title and Belgian cup. The championship title is the 24th in the club's history and the cup the 8th.

2000 : RSCA wins it's 25th championship title and on the occasion of this historic event a delegation of the club is received at the Royal palace.

2010 : RSCA wins it's 30th championship title.
