Sporting Anderlecht won't know until Saturday, September 8th which team it will be facing on matchday 1 of the UEFA Champions League. The Mauves will have to travel to Innsbruck (Austria) to face FC Tirol, or they travel to Russia, where they'll face Lokomotiv Moscow.

Not counting on outcome of the match on September 1st, when Scotland faces Croatia (Hampden Park, Glasgow, 4:00 p.m. CET), our Red Devils will still have to prove themselves on Wednesday ( Roi Baudouin Stadium, 8:15 p.m. CET) if they want to qualify for the World Cup 2002. A victory against the Scotsmen would provide them of some tranquility for the match in Zagreb on October 6th.

Keeping in mind the saftety features for the 2000-2001 season, the community of Anderlecht and Sporting have decided to change a few things concerning safety measures. RSCA has made use of the summer recess to improve a couple of things with respect to safety infrastructure of the stadium. The community of Anderlecht and RSCA have also reached a new agreement about the safety in and around the stadium.

Just as in our previous European campaign, Champions League tickets will be offered by means of a ticket/card for the 3 home-matches in the 1st round.
Our season ticket-holders have the following advantages : priority & reduction for their own seat from Monday, August 27th till Saturday, September 1st at 12.00 a.m., and on presentation of their season ticket.
