Leader RSC Anderlecht had to visit Beerschot AC as part of the 23rd matchday of the Jupiler Pro League on Saturday 28th January 2012. The team from Brussels got stuck at a 0-0 draw at the Olympic Stadium.

STVV and RSC Anderlecht have reached an agreement on the transfer of Thomas Chatelle to the club from Limburg. The agreement will be ratified on Monday 30th January 2012.

Oleksandr Iakovenko will play for Oud-Heverlee Leuven until the end of the current season. The 24-year-old Ukranian was lent to Westerlo the past two seasons and played at the Astridpark during the first half of the season 2011-2012. He was, however, not able to become a first-string player in the Purple & White squad and will now leave for OHL on loan.

Anderlecht coach Ariël Jacobs has selected 21 players for the game of the 23rd matchday against Beerschot AC. After Patou Kabangu, the second new player from TP Mazembe, Hugue Bedi Mbenza, is also part of the selection. There have been no selection problems for Sporting’s coach, for that matter. Except for the players with long-term injuries, everyone is fit.

Sporting Anderlecht took on first pursuer KAA Ghent in the top game of the 22nd matchday at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium on Tuesday 24th January 2012. With those two clubs, the best offence – Ghent – took on the best defence – Anderlecht – at the Astridpark. Despite taking a goal early, the victory was Purple & White thanks to goals by Milan Jovanovic (2) and Matias Suarez.

Anderlecht coach Ariël Jacobs has announced a selection of 20 players for the top game of the 22nd matchday against KAA Ghent. Just like last weekend, there are no selection troubles for coach Jacobs. Sporting’s coach is able to count on his entire squad – except for the players who are recovering from long-lasting injuries.

Sporting Anderlecht had to visit KV Kortrijk, the current number four on the league table, as part of the 21st matchday of the Jupiler Pro League. Not an easy thing to do, as the Kerels from West-Flanders are playing a strong season and also can show good results in home matches. The Purple & White won 0-1 at the Guldensporen Stadium after a difficult match, thanks to a penalty converted by Guillaume Gillet.

Nathan Kabasele, who became 18 last week, has signed a contract for 4,5 seasons at the Purple & White and is, therefore, bound to RSC Anderlecht until 2016.

Cheikhou Kouyate has extended his contract at the Purple & White - which was still running until 2014 - with two seasons. The Senegalese, then, is now bound to Anderlecht until 2016.

RSC Anderlecht and the Ukranian FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk have reached an agreement on the definitive transfer of Ondrej Mazuch. The Czech defender successfully completed his medical and physical tests at his new club, so his transfer can proceed.
