Anderlecht coach Ariël Jacobs has announced a selection of 22 players for the game of the 21st matchday in the JPL against KV Kortrijk. The Purple & White coach is able to count on a completely fit selection. New player Patou Kabangu appears in the selection for the first time.

Both Patou and Bedi are allowed to play and Patou has immediately been selected for Saturday’s match. "Both boys have adjusted very fast, both next to the pitch and in the team and that is to their own advantage", coach Ariël Jacobs. "The fact that they can fall back on Dieumerci and his family is also very important." Bedi is not part of the selection yet. "That does not mean that he is not where Patou is, it is because of his position and the competition of the other players."

The Purple & White did not miss their start last weekend and opened 2012 with a nice 3-0 win over Club Brugge. "Everyone has doubts just before that first match just after the winter break and a 3-0 victory is good for one’s confidence, but it is only the first step. There are still 20 difficult matches to go..." KV Kortrijk are nicely ranked fourth on the league table. "I am a bit surprised, to be honest. And I don’t want to diminish their achievements by this, but when several important people leave, you expect a fall back, which has not occurred. That is to their advantage, of course", Jacobs said. "You can be lucky for a while during a season, but not for 20 matchdays", the coach realized. "That they are now ranked fourth means that they deserve it." Kortrijk always do well at home. "Of 12 home matches they have won nine, drawn twice and lost once. Those numbers speak for themselves..."

Cheikhou Kouyate is ready for the game against KV Kortrijk, the club where it all started for him. "We are doing well. We know that there are a lot of top matches to come now, but those are actually games which we can’t wait to play", the player said. "What also pleases me is that we were able to keep our goal empty against Club Brugge. We played very efficiently and turned our opportunities into goal, but we were also secure in defence. We don’t have to look at the teams behind us now, we only have to look at ourselves", he concluded.
