U-21 : RSC Anderlecht beat Sporting Lokeren 4-2

The Purple & White U-21 team took on Sporting Lokeren on Friday 21st October 2011. RSC Anderlecht won 4-2 thanks to goals by Bryan Verboom, Diogo (2) and Karim Tarfi.

The Brazilians Diogo and Reynaldo were the only two A-squad players on the Purple & White side. For the visitors, Purple & White player Bigen Yala Lusala was on the pitch. The 19-year-old wing player is currently on loan in Lokeren. In addition, Katuku Tshimanga - who had just returned from an injury - and Ayanda Patosi - who scored a nice goal against KRC Genk last Sunday - were in Lokeren’s starting line-up.

The Purple & White made the difference early on in the first half. After fifteen minutes of play, Bryan Verboom opened the score and, after thirty minutes of play, Karim Tarfi doubled that lead with a nice free kick. Just before half-time, Diogo provided his team with the reassuring 3-0 lead. In the second half, Lokeren put in the 3-1 via Cedric Mingiedi. The Purple & White increased their lead twenty minutes before the final whistle via Diogo: 4-1. Five minutes later on, Nico Binst put the 4-2 final score on the board.
