The Purple & White U-21 team took on KV Mechelen at the Sports complex ‘De Nekker’ on Monday 3rd October 2011. The Purple & White defence were not able to get rid of the ball after a corner and Nicolas Mombaerts put in the 1-1.

Sporting took the lead again early on in the second half when captain Karim Tarfi converted a penalty after hands: 1-2. KV Mechelen did react, but the Purple & White increased their lead thanks to goals by Mehdi Tarfi, after sixty minutes of play, and Elis Koulibaly during the final minutes – and two assists by Brandon Deville, for that matter.
