U21 : RSCA not able to finish off match against Ghent (2-2)

The Purple & White U-21 took on KAA Ghent as part of the fourth match of the U-21 league on Monday 19th September 2011. With Samuel, Diogo and Lamisha Musonda three players of the Purple & White first team were part of the squad.

Anderlecht had the match under control in the first half. After just ten minutes of play Bryan Verboom provided his team with the lead. After fifteen minutes of play, the team from Brussels doubled their lead when Lamisha Musonda converted a penalty. The Purple & White controlled the game during the first half but forgot to finish off their opportunities.

AA Ghent turned the tide in the second half and, just before the sixtieth minute of play, Stefan Belic put the tying goal past Davy Roef. Sporting tried to turn things around again, but were lucky when Samuel made a save on the line. But this was only a temporary reprieve, as just before the final whistle substitute Stevy Okitokandjo scored the 2-2...
