Sporting Anderlecht’s U-21 took on Zulte Waregem tonight, Friday 27th August 2010. Pier Barrios, Bakary 'Bouba' Sare and Cristophe Diandy were the three players of the first team to appear at kickoff. The home team also lined up a few familiar faces: Lars Knipping, part of RSCA’s U-21 team last season, was the home goalie. And Guillaume Clinckemaillie, former Anderlecht player, was also part of the selection. The striker started the match on the bench.

RSCA opened the score in Zulte thanks to a goal by Nathan Kabasele. Sporting, however, were not able to keep that up until the end, as Thomas Matton scored the equalizer just before half-time. 1-1 was also the final score.
