The new season 2010-2011 is approaching rapidly. Purple-White have, in the meantime, resumed training. That is, part of the players’ group, as most of the players still had international commitments after the season and, therefore, will resume later. Meanwhile, the in-between season programme has also been updated with extra matches.

The first stage in the Dutch Tegelen will take place from Monday 21st June up to and including Friday 25th June 2010. After returning from the Netherlands, on Friday 25th June, the first friendly game of the season will be played against KSKL Ternat (7 p.m.). The day after that, on Saturday 26th June, the traditional practice game in and against Knokke (6 p.m.) will take place. On Tuesday 29th and Wednesday 30th June, friendly games will also be played. On Tuesday, an A and B-team selection will play on the field of Aalst at 7 p.m. and, on Wednesday, Purple-White (A-team, 7.30 p.m.) will visit Ronse.

On Friday 2nd July, the practice match against Waasland-Beveren is scheduled (7 p.m.) and, after that, the second practice stage will take place. Like last year, Anderlecht will head for Austria, but this time their destination is Leogang. They will leave on Sunday 4th July and return one week later, on Sunday 11th July. Two practice games will also be played during that week. On Wednesday 7th July, RSCA will practise against the Romanian CFR 1907 Cluj (6 p.m.) and three days later on, on Saturday 10th July 2010, Rapid Wien will receive Anderlecht in their own stadium at 6 p.m.

After the stage in Austria, Purple-White will enter a tournament in Cologne, where Sporting will take on Cologne on Thursday 15th July (7 p.m.) and AZ or Fenerbahçe on Saturday 17th July. In Belgium, a practice match will take also place on Thursday 15th July. A selection of the A and B-team will play a friendly game against Hamme in Dendermonde (7 p.m.).

The week after that, a selection of the A and B-team will play Dender in Geraardsbergen (7 p.m.) and, one day later, on Tuesday 20th July, a friendly match against Duisburg will take place at 7 p.m. That match will be played in Verviers. On Thursday 22nd July, a mixed A and B-team will practise against White Star Woluwe and, the day after that, on Friday 23rd July, the Supercup will be played at the Constant Vanden Stock stadium. Kickoff of that match between national champions Anderlecht and Cup winners AA Gent will take place at 8.45 p.m.
