RSCA on winter training camp in Spain

The players and staff of RSC Anderlecht have left for Spain very early on Friday 4 January 2008. They will stay in La Manga for a training camp of seven days.

Mbo Mpenza isn't in La Manga yet since his baby had to undergo surgery. If everything goes well, he might join the group on Monday. Mbark Boussoufa, who stayed with his father who is sick for a few days, has left for La Manga with the team. The three Argentinian players, Nicolas Frutos, Lucas Biglia and Nicolas Pareja have gone directly from Argentina to Spain and joined their teammates there.

The group trained a first time in Spain on Friday afternoon. Mbark Boussoufa trained with the group without problemes. The muscle injury of Nicolas Pareja is healing, he went running on Friday. Nicolas Frutos didn't train with the group either, but he trained individually with the ball for one hour. On Saturday Frutos will at least train with the group once. Jonathan Legear (muscle tear) is rehabilitating.

On Saturday three training sessions are planned. On Sunday Anderlecht will play a friendly match against Be Quick 1887 at 17:00. Not a regular match, but a game of 3x 30 minutes.
