National coach Aimé Anthuenis announced his 20-headed selection last Friday, 18 March, for the WC-qualifying matches against Bosnia and San Marino. The national coach selected five Anderlecht-players : defenders Vincent Kompany, Olivier Deschacht and Anthony Vanden Borre, midfielder Yves Vanderhaeghe and striker Mbo Mpenza. Walter Baseggio, who's injured, wasn't selected.
Anthuenis also selected Emile Mpenza and Wesley Sonck, who are both just returning from injury. Huysegems and Vandenbergh are once again part of the selection. Baseggio isn't the only one who disappeared out of the squad, also De Cock and Dheedene lost their place.

The match Belgium-Bosnia is taking place on Saturday 26 March 2005 at 8:15 p.m. in the King Baudouin-stadium. The kickoff of the game against San Marino is planned four days later, on Wednesday 30 March, in the Stadio di Servalle in San Marino at 8:30 p.m.
